Whimsy Romance at The Estate on Second

Inside the bridal suite at The Estate on Second, Shelly’s bridesmaids were putting the finishing touches on her wedding gown to ensure she looked absolutely perfect before her first look with Eddie. Shelly’s dress had an intricate lace bodice with tulle skirt and an open back that was accented by her curled updo. She grabbed her bouquet filled with rust, white and brown flowers, then headed up to The Attic where Eddie was waiting.

Eddie stood in a light tan suit with his back to the staircase and could hear Shelly as she got closer and closer. With a tap of his shoulder, Eddie turned around to see his beautiful bride before him. Huge smiles filled their faces as their eyes met. Compliments were shared as their groomsmen and bridesmaids watched everything unfold. After their first look moment, Shelly and Eddie were joined by their bridal party. The groomsmen wore charcoal suits and had boutonnieres that matched the bridesmaids dresses and bouquets. Good times were shared as the group posed for photos and tried easing the nerves of the bride and groom before lining up for the ceremony.

Inside the Crystal Ballroom, two large floral arrangements marked the start of the aisle and the center Palladian window was decorated in greenery where the bride and groom would shortly be standing. Guests signed in at the welcome table then took a seat and waited for the ceremony to begin. Once everyone had arrived, Eddie was first to walk out followed by all the bridesmaids and groomsmen and ending with Shelly. The bride and groom shared their vows in front of their family and friends, exchanged rings, and sealed the deal with a kiss. The crowd stood and cheered as the newlyweds made their exit out of the ceremony and into cocktail hour.

Hawaiian Mules and Old Fashioned cocktails were the bride and groom’s signature drinks being poured at the bar. Crab Cakes with mango papaya salsa, Fig, Goat Cheese & Mascarpone Tarts with pomegranate sauce, and a European & Domestic Cheese Wedge Tray were available to snack on while enjoying cocktail hour and while watching Shelly and Eddie’s Tea Ceremony. After the tea ceremony, the newlyweds snuck away for photos around the venue before regrouping with their wedding party inside the Crystal Ballroom.

With the help of a seating chart, guests found their assigned tables and watched as Shelly and Eddie shared their first dance. Toasts were made and glasses clinked in celebration, then dinner was served. A Classic Menu of Grilled Marinated Vegetables, Pear & Walnut Salad, Tri-Tip Carvery, Chicken Sonoma, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, and Almond Rice Pilaf was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Casey. The 3-tiered lemon cake was cut and shared after dinner with those who had a hankering for something sweet. The remainder of the evening was filled with dancing under The Estate’s sparkling chandeliers.
