Spring Whites Wedding at Grand Gimeno

Christine and her bridesmaids and Peter and his groomsmen sipped on mimosas while getting ready for the big day in the Powder Room and Parlor. The girls changed from their matching robes into light blue dresses, and the bride wore white. Across the way, the guys suited up and pinned on their boutonnières. With everyone ready, it was time for the first look. Peter stood in the breezeway at Grand Gimeno with his back facing Christine. Without further ado, Christine tapped Peter’s shoulder. As soon as their eyes met, smiles filled their faces. The two shared adoring compliments and read cards they wrote for each other in silence. Afterwards, the bridal party joined in for some fun photos before ceremony.

Guests entered the Olive Grove, signed Christine and Peter’s guest book, then took a seat. A copper arbor decorated in white flowers and greenery stood tall as the ceremony backdrop. Once everyone was accounted for, the processional began. Peter made his entrance grinning from ear to ear followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen walking arm-in-arm and ending with Christine. In front of their closest friends and family, the bride and groom read personal vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Cocktail hour was held in the Courtyard and Foyer where Seared Ahi on Wonton Chip, Pineapple Rumaki, and Sesame Shrimp & Mango Spring Rolls were being tray passed. Guests grabbed refreshments from the bar including the bride and groom’s signature cocktails, a Paloma and Moscow Mule. Everyone mixed and mingled until it was time for dinner.

Reception tables were draped in grey linen and topped with fresh floral centerpieces to match the sweetheart table. Guests checked the seating chart and found their assigned tables to await the bride and groom’s arrival. As soon as everyone was seated, Christine and Peter made their grand entrance. After their first dance, dinner was served, and toasts were made. Plates were filled with Kaula Pork, Macadamia Nut Encrusted Mahi Mahi, Pineapple Fried Rice, Stir Fry Vegetables, and Papaya Salad and outside, guests could fill up on Wood-fired Neapolitan Pizza and Meat Lovers Pizza. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Patti. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into their wedding cake and invited their guests to enjoy a slice or indulge in our Classic Dessert Station with a collection of Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Mango and Passion Fruit Macarons, and French Apple Tarts. Energized from the sweets that were devoured, guests hit the dance floor. The evening ended with everyone showing off their best moves and sharing their well wishes with the bride and groom.
