Spring Wedding Reception and Traditional Korean Ceremony at Serra Plaza

Before heading to their church ceremony, Maura and her bridesmaids got ready inside the Bridal Suite at Serra Plaza and Andy and his groomsmen got ready off site. Maura changed into a modern white wedding dress and her bridesmaids wore patterned and colored spring dresses. Andy and his groomsmen were all suited up in black for a sleek, classic look. The groups posed for photos, then headed to the church where Maura and Andy said their I dos and sealed the deal with a kiss.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way over to Serra Plaza where Crab Cakes, Thai Chicken Spring Rolls, and Fig, Goat Cheese, and Mascarpone Tart hors d’oeuvres awaited them. The bar was serving the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Paloma and Moscow Mule and music filled the Courtyard. As guests entered, they made sure to sign the bride and groom’s guest book and find which table they were assigned for reception. While everyone mixed and mingled, Andy and Maura posed for pictures as husband and wife, then joined their guests for reception.

Chandeliers hung above white draped tables topped with spring-colored floral centerpieces where everyone found their seats. The bride and groom made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at their sweetheart table. For dinner, Chicken Sonoma, Cabernet Braised Short Ribs, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Jasmine Rice, Grilled Marinated Vegetables, and Caesar Salad was served. The menu was selected by Andy and Maura with help from our event specialist, Sierra. While guests enjoyed dinner, they also were able to watch Maura and Andy participate in a traditional ceremony exchange between their families. Afterwards, the newlyweds thanked guests at each table, cut into their 2-tiered red velvet wedding cake, and invited everyone to indulge in our Classic Dessert Station with an assortment of Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Mango and Passion Fruit Macarons and French Apple Tarts. The evening ended with many photos captured at the photo booth and lots of dancing out on the dance floor.
