Something Blue: A Hangar 21 South Afternoon Wedding

Jaws hit the floor when Elizabeth walked into Hangar 21 South for her first look with Jordan. All their friends and family were lined up watching the two see each other for the first time that day. Elizabeth wore an a-line wedding gown with dramatic puff-sleeve detail and a delicate lace veil that trailed behind her. Jordan wore a sleek black tux with blue tie and matching boutonniere. The two looked like they just walked out of a bridal magazine! With a brush of the shoulder, Jordan turned around to see his stunning bride and his jaw also hit the floor as he gazed upon his bride. The bride and groom posed for some photos alone before joining the bridal party for group photos and lining up for the ceremony.

On the side patio, ghost chairs were perfectly placed in rows facing the stage where Elizabeth and Jordan would soon tie the knot. A floral arch acted as a backdrop for their special day and bundles of fresh flowers lined the aisle. Guests took their seats and music began playing as Jordan made his entrance. Lastly, everyone stood for Elizabeth while she walked down the aisle towards her groom. Smiles and tears were shared as the bride and groom exchanged handwritten vows, participated in a unity sand ceremony with their mothers, and a wine ceremony with just them two. The happy couple was then pronounced husband and wife, and the crowd cheered as the newlyweds sealed the deal with a sweet kiss.

Guests were able to sip on beer and wine and snack on Crab Cakes with mango papaya salsa and Thai Chicken Spring Rolls during cocktail hour while Elizabeth and Jordan enjoyed their flight over Orange County. Upon the bride and groom’s return, guests were seated for the reception inside the hangar. Tables were decorated in candles and spring florals and each place setting had a personal note for each guest. Toasts were made in celebration of the bride and groom, then lunch was served, as this was an early wedding. A delicious menu of Thai Three Flavored BBQ Chicken, Korean Bulgogi Beef, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Far East Wok Long Beans and Chow Mein was pre-selected by newlyweds and our Event Specialist, Brittany, during the wedding planning process and served on the wedding day. Rave reviews for flavor were shared around each table. After dinner, everyone was invited to indulge in dessert. Our Gourmet Dessert Collection with an assortment of Mini Lemon Curd Tarts, Berry Champagne Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence, Mini Carrot Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and Caramel Cream with Lemon Curd and Praline Crisp Dessert Shots were on display for guests to pick and choose to their liking. Games were played, photos were captured at the photo booth, and congratulations were shared as Elizabeth and Jordan’s wedding day came to an end.
