Romantic Ambiance Wedding at Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano
After getting ready inside the Bridal Suite at Serra Plaza, Kayla and her bridesmaids headed over to the Inn at The Mission for the bride and groom’s first look and wedding party group photos. Daniel was already waiting outside when Kayla wrapped her arms around him from behind. He turned around to see his beautiful bride standing before him and the couple shared sweet compliments during the intimate moment, then joined their wedding party for photos on the Inn’s steps. Each bridesmaid wore either a shade of tan or green and the groomsmen were dressed in black suits. Together, the friends smiled for the camera and created unforgettable moments before heading back to Serra Plaza for the ceremony.
Guests were greeted by a romantic welcome sign made of linen ensuring they were in the correct place. Well wishes were shared by guests in the bride and groom’s guest book, then everyone took a seat in the Courtyard. Terracotta, ivory, and blush flowers decorated the aisle and Spanish Fountain. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Kayla arm-in-arm with her mother and father. Together in front of all their closest friends and loving family, Kayla and Daniel read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Cocktail hour took place inside the lounge where the bar was serving up the newlywed’s signature drinks, a Ranch Water and Old Fashioned, and a modern, neutral lounge sat in front of the crackling fireplace enticing guests to get cozy while they sipped and snacked. To tide everyone over until dinner, Crab Cakes, Lemon Parmesan Artichoke Hearts, and Beef Picadillo Empanadas were tray passed around the space to hungry guests. After plenty of mixing and mingling, everyone headed back outside for reception.
Tables warm with the candlelight bordered a white dance floor in the middle of the Courtyard. Fresh floral centerpieces, custom printed menus topped, and focaccia bread completed each tablescape. The sweetheart table was so decorated with flowers you could almost smell their lovely scent, and a draped backdrop framed it all in. The newlyweds made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, the took a seat at their sweetheart table. Roasted Golden Beet Salad was served, and toasts were shared. Next, Classic Filet Mignon and Roasted Atlantic Salmon Fillet with Roasted Asparagus and Parmesan Polenta rounded out the dinner service. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Lauren. After dinner Kayla and Daniel cut into their vintage heart wedding cake and shared a little something sweet with everyone for dessert. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves.
