Rainy New Year’s Eve Wedding Celebration at Hangar 21 South

A rainy day wouldn’t stop Itali and Ryan from celebrating their New Year’s Eve wedding at Hangar 21 South! The bride and groom met for their first look just outside the venue doors, and on the count of three, Ryan turned around to see his bride. An emotional exchange was had as tears were held back, and the couple shared sweet compliments as the wedding party watched from inside. Afterwards, the group headed to the tarmac for photos. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were dressed in black and Itali stood out from the crowd in white lace. The group posed for the camera to capture core memories, then lined up for the ceremony.

Guests found their way into the side patio, signed Ryan and Itali’s guest book, then took a seat under the tent to keep dry. A wooden arbor draped in white fabric and decorated in flowers stood on the stage. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances down the aisle ending with Itali. Together in front of their closest friends and family, the bride and groom read personalized vows, exchanged rings, and ended the ceremony with a kiss.

Roasted Red Cherry Tomato Bruschetta and Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed around the tarmac for cocktail hour and guests grabbed a French 75 or Old Fashioned signature drink at the bar. Itali and Ryan posed with their family for group pictures, then headed to the tarmac in the rain for photos with our helicopter. Guests mixed and mingled while sitting comfortably at the lounge and huddled around fire pits until it was time to take a seat for reception.

Inside the hangar, tables were topped with white florals and greenery and modern black, white and gold details completed the setup. Guests checked the seating chart and took their seats. Without further ado, Ryan and Itali made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at the sweetheart table. Chicken Parmigiana, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Grilled Marinated Vegetables, and Caesar Salad were served. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Casey. While everyone enjoyed dinner, family and friends stood and shared toasts. Glasses clinked in the air after each speech ended, then it was time for dessert. The newlyweds cut into their wedding cake and invited everyone to indulge in our Latin Dessert Station with an assortment of Petit Tres Leches Cakes, Mini Caramel Custard Flan, Coconut Macaroons, Dulce de Leche Chocolate Tarts, and Mexican Wedding Cookies. After a bite of something sweet everyone hit the dance floor until the clock struck midnight. Party blowers, champagne, and midnight kisses filled the dance floor as everyone yelled, “Happy New Year!” Mini Chicken Pesto Pizzas and Mini Meat Lovers Pizzas were tray passed around for guests who had worked up an appetite from all the dancing. The evening ended with a celebratory send off and well wished for the newlyweds.
