Putting the “Rust” in Rustic
Putting the Rust in Rustic
The bridesmaids dressed in rust dresses and the groomsmen wearing navy finished getting ready at Crossline Church where Katherine and Nick’s wedding ceremony would be taking place shortly. Katherine’s mother and bridesmaids buttoned up the back of her delicate lace wedding gown completing her bridal look. The group of girls and guys both prayed over the bride and groom before the two met for their blind first look. The two held hands and spoke sweet words to each other before departing and heading over to the ceremony space.
Guests were seated and a gorgeous floral arrangement decorated a cross that stood tall on the ceremony stage. Nick patiently awaited his bride’s arrival, eyes never leaving the door. After each member of the bridal party found their place, Katherine emerged from the doorway and Nick’s eyes lit up. The two recited vows and exchanged rings before being pronounced husband and wife. A kiss sealed their fate and the two exited the church for romantic photos before heading over to their backyard reception.
An open bar and individually plated Gloria’s Caramelized Bacon Wrapped Franks, Crab Cakes, and Fried Chicken and Waffle Bites with maple pecan sauce hors d’oeuvres greeted guests at the backyard reception location. Wooden tables were topped with an assortment of fresh and dried florals and pops of ‘something blue’ made the decor even more special. The newlyweds arrived not too long after guests were seated for dinner. Cheering ushered the bride and groom all the way to their sweetheart table where toasts were shared. Our Event Specialist, Brittany, along with Katherine and Nick worked on a perfectly paired dinner during their wedding planning process. A selection of Cornbread Muffins with honey butter, Chicken Gumbo, Sliced Beef Brisket, Southern Green Beans, and Mashed Potatoes with gravy filled guests plates and a fun Mac and Cheese Station allowed everyone to add their favorite toppings to this cheesy favorite. First dances were shared and the cake was cut before everyone ended the night letting lose on the dance floor.
