Peach Floral Wedding and a Tea Ceremony
Marcus suited up and Alison stepped into her tulle and lace wedding dress, then the couple met outside of Hangar 21 South for their first look. A hug from behind was Marcus’s cue to turn around. The bride and groom faced each other to shared sweet compliments, and happy tears were shed during the intimate vow exchange. Afterwards, their bridesmaids and groomsmen joined them for group photos on the tarmac. Smiles were shared and memories were made, then the group lined up for ceremony.
A copper arch decorated with peachy flowers stood centerstage and matching floral arrangements marked the back and head of the aisle. Guests entered the side patio, signed the bride and groom’s guest book, and took a seat. Once everyone was in attendance, the music cued up and the wedding party made their entrances. In front of their closest friends and family, Marcus and Alison recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Glazed Pear and Goat Cheese Tarts were tray passed on the tarmac for cocktail hour while the bar was serving up the newlywed’s signature drinks, an Old Fashioned and Cadillac Margarita. While everyone mixed and mingled, Alison and Marcus and their families stayed on the side patio for a traditional tea ceremony. Guests were able to watch as the two families became one, then the bride and groom headed to the helicopter for their flight over Orange County. Upon their return, it was time for reception.
Floral centerpieces and bud vases topped each table and romantic candles completed the setup inside the hangar. Alison and Marcus made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at their sweetheart table. Toasts were shared and dinner was served. The menu, selected with help from our event specialist, Brittany, consisted of Santorini Chicken and Cabernet Braised Short Ribs with Caesar Salad, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into their white wedding cake with strawberry creme filling and invited their guests to indulge in our Classic Dessert Station with a collection of Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Mango and Passion Fruit Macarons, and French Apple Tarts. The evening ended with plenty of photos taken at the photo booth and lots of dancing out on the dance floor.
