Love & Snacks at Grand Gimeno
After saying “I do” at their local church, Monica, Jon and their wedding party headed to Grand Gimeno for cocktail hour in the Olive Grove. Upon arrival, guests made sure to sign the bride and groom’s guestbook before heading outside to enjoy light bites and refreshing beverage. Out back, tea candles topped ivory covered tables. Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls were tray passed as the sun set and the newlywed’s signature drinks, a Hawaiian Mule and Paloma, were being served at the bar. Monica and Jon and their bridesmaids in green and groomsmen in black posed for group photos before joining the rest of the party for the remainder of cocktail hour. The bride and groom were able to enjoy time with their guests before heading inside for the reception.
Inside, tables were set up in rows and topped with centerpieces of white flowers and greenery. A large arrangement of florals cascaded to the floor from the sweetheart table and candles stood around the draped table fabrics. Guests found their assigned tables via a large snack installation created by the bride and groom and as soon as they were seated, the bridal party made their entrances followed by Monica and Jon. The crowd cheered as the bride and groom joyfully made their way into the middle of Grand Central. Surrounded by family and friends, the newlyweds shared their first dance, then took a seat. Tables were excused to the buffet filled with Santorini Chicken, Garlic & Herb Roasted Tri Tip Carvery, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Fresh Vegetable Medley, and Tangerine & Pecan Salad. The wedding menu was selected by Monica and Jon with help from our Event Specialist, Patti, during their planning process. Once everyone had gone through the buffet line, designated speakers stood to give toasts. Glasses clinked in the air and the room filled with cheers after each speech, then it was time for dessert. Monica and Jon cut into their marble cake with chocolate mousse filling, sipped champagne, and invited their guests to indulge in dessert. A Fresh Bakes Cookies and Ice Cream Station with toppings was set up for everyone to enjoy along with slices of marble cake. After satisfying their sweet tooth, guests joined the bride and groom out on the dance floor. Everyone joined in dancing around the newlyweds and showing off their best moves, and if you weren’t dancing, a photo booth with ready to print pictures was just a few steps away. After all the fun dancing and posing for pictures, the bride and groom said goodbye to their guests and sent them on their way with a little end of night treat from the seating chart snack display.
