Jewel Toned Reception at Hangar 21 South

After tying the knot at their local church, Krystle, Eric, and their wedding guests headed to Hangar 21 South for cocktail hour. Blackened Deviled Eggs, Crab Cakes and an open bar serving up the newlyweds signature cocktails, a Moscow Mule and Whiskey Ginger, greeted them. Cornhole competitions were all the rage while Krystle and Eric were off on their flight over Orange County and friends posed in front of the hangar doors and love sign for selfies. Black astroturf covered the tarmac and cocktail tables draped in ivory linen and decorated with dried florals were scattered about. A modern lounge space was set up as well to encourage a relaxing atmosphere. Instead of a traditional guest book, guests signed a custom jersey with the newlywed’s last name between snacking and sipping. Before long, everyone was invited inside the hangar to find their seat.

Reception tables were topped with sprigs of jewel toned flowers and neutral pampas. Custom calligraphy geodes with individual guest names written on them were placed atop black plates at each place setting and gold flatware was set on either side. The sweetheart table was framed in by a modern gold arbor draped in black fabric with a handwritten scroll opened down the middle. A floral arrangement sat in front of the table adding pops of blue and red. The bride and groom made their grand entrance, then everyone found their assigned seat. Toasts were shared by friends and family while everyone enjoyed a dinner of Southern Chopped Salad, Cornbread Muffins with honey butter, BBQ Boneless Chicken, Sliced Beef Brisket, Macaroni & Cheese. The dinner menu was hand selected by Krystle and Eric along with our Event Specialist, Casey, during their wedding planning process. Guests loved the All-American Buffet and rave reviews were shared around each table. After dinner and all the traditional wedding festivities, dessert was served! A white cake with strawberry creme filling and buttercream icing was cut and guests with a sweet tooth were able to enjoy a slice. On a sugar high, everyone hit the dance floor busting out their best moves and working up an appetite. As a surprise for their guests, Krystle and Eric decided to add a late night snack to their wedding consisting of Pollo Asado, Al Pastor and Mahi Mahi Tacos with handmade tortillas. Guests lined up for the special end of the night treat before sending off the bride and groom in a tunnel of sparklers.
