Green and Blue Serra Plaza Wedding

Lillian and Roy met in Serra Plaza’s Courtyard on the afternoon of their wedding for their first look. A tap on the shoulder turned Roy around to see his beautiful bride standing before him. The couple shared sweet compliments, then headed to Mission San Juan Capistrano for portraits while guests began arriving at the wedding venue. A welcome sign and gift table greeted guests as they walked up to Serra Plaza. After signing the guest book, they headed into the Courtyard to take a seat for the ceremony. Sparkling chandeliers hung above, and blue, white, and green flowers decorated the aisle and Spanish fountain. As soon as everyone was in attendance, and the bride and groom were back from the Mission, the music cued up and the ceremony began. The wedding party made their entrances ending with Lillian. In front of their friends and family, Roy and Lillian recited their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Cocktail hour in the Lounge was perfectly cozy and complete with Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellington and Thai Chicken Spring Roll hors d’oeuvres and Old Fashioned and Aperol Spritz signature drinks. While everyone mixed and mingled, the newlyweds wandered around the venue posing for photos together as husband and wife. Upon their return to cocktail hour, it was time for reception.

Back in the Courtyard, tables were topped with fresh green grapes, blue, green, and white floral centerpieces, custom printed menus tied with a green bow, and candles. Lillian and Roy made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Caesar Salad, Chicken Santorini, Tri-Tip Carvery, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans were served just in time for the traditional tea ceremony. The dinner was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Selena. Guests watched as they enjoyed their meals. Afterwards, Lillian changed into her party dress and family and friends shared toasts. Glasses clinked in the air as the bride and groom headed over to their wedding cake. The couple cut off a piece, shared a bite, and invited their guests to indulge in our Gourmet Dessert Station with a collection of Mini Lemon Meringue Tarts, Berry Champagne Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence, Mini Carrot Cupcakes, and Caramel Cream with Lemon Curd and Praline Crisp Dessert Shots. The evening ended with everyone dancing with the newlyweds and sharing all their well wishes with them before heading home.
