Gold & Glam Wedding at Serra Plaza
Samantha and her bridal party popped champagne and got ready inside the bridal suite at Serra Plaza while Austin and the groomsmen posed for photos at the Inn at the Mission just down the street. Once both the bride and groom were ready, the two met at Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look. A tap of the shoulder turned Austin around to see his stunning bride standing before him. The couple shared sweet compliments and wandered around The Mission until it was time to head back to Serra Plaza for ceremony.
Guests arrived, signed Austin and Samantha’s guest book, then took a seat in the courtyard. White and pink flowers decorated the Spanish fountain backdrop and more floral arrangements lined the aisle. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances. Together in front of all their closest friends and family, Samantha and Austin read personalized vows, exchanged rings, and shared a kiss to conclude the ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests headed into the lounge where a fire was already roaring in the fireplace. Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts made their rounds and Old Fashioned and Tequila Sunrise signature drinks were being served at the bar. Samantha and Austin spent the beginning of cocktail hour posing for newlywed photos with their photographer, then joined their guests just before reception. Everyone checked the seating chart and headed back to the courtyard for dinner.
Tables were topped with white, gold, and pink details and sparkling chandeliers hung above. Once everyone was seated, the newlyweds made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at their sweetheart table. The first course, Ensalada Las Mesas, was served for dinner, then came the main course of Classic Filet Mignon and Zucchini Lime Chicken with Roasted Broccolini and Smashed Baby Potatoes. The menu was selected by Samantha and Austin with help from our event specialist, Selena. Family and friends stood and toasted to the bride and groom and glasses clinked in the air. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into their two-tiered white cake with strawberry creme filling and invited their guests to indulge in a slice. The evening ended with a celebratory champagne tower and everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves.
