Galentine’s Sales Team Retreat

A quick two-hour drive filled with music, laughter and stories dropped us off in La Quinta where our Director of Sales, Hannah, and our Venue Director, Sarah Rose, greeted us with a house filled with Valentine’s décor for our 2020 Galentine’s Sales Team Retreat. Conversation heart garland hung from the ceiling in the foyer along with red and pink lip balloons and heart balloons. Everywhere you turned your head there was pink and red. Goody bags filled with candles, wine glasses, t-shirts and more surrounded the fireplace and a popcorn machine and candy display were frequently visited by the girls throughout the weekend. Once everyone had arrived and settled into their rooms, we changed into our Valentine’s inspired pajamas, grabbed wine and snacked on charcuterie before dinner was served. Sarah Rose cooked up Italian pasta with a homemade sauce and meatballs that were to die for! After dinner, we all gathered around the living room table and played many rounds of a fun card game where we pulled cards of truth or dare, most likely to, rapid fire and more. We played until we couldn’t keep our eyes open any longer, then went to sleep.

Saturday morning, we woke up to vegetarian quiche, chile relleno quiche, fruit and refreshing mimosas. After breakfast we sat down around the living room table to learn about each of our job-related personalities and how to interact with people who share the same and different behaviors. We learned the differences between analytical, expressive, amiable, and driver personalities and the best way to approach each type of person in a work setting. Once training ended, we changed into our swimsuits, grabbed towels, applied sunscreen and laid out by the pool for a much deserved, relaxing afternoon. At 5pm everyone was dressed up and ready for dinner at Arnold Palmer’s Restaurant. From Center Cut Filet Mignon and their famous Jalapeno Potato Au Gratin to Seared Ahi Tuna Steak and Pancetta Roasted Brussel Sprouts we filled up on the most delicious food and our server, Cory (aka: Scorpio), provided top notch service the entire evening. We headed back to the house stuffed and looking to relax. The night ended with Cards Against Humanity while watching Parent Trap. On Sunday morning we all woke up, packed, and headed back home after an amazing retreat. Thank you Hannah and Sarah Rose for totally spoiling us!
