Fresh Fruit and Floral Wedding at Serra Plaza

Philip and Michelle met for their first look at Mission San Juan Capistrano on the morning of their wedding day. A tap on the shoulder turned Philip around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a lace wedding dress. The couple shared a warm embrace and sweet compliments soaking in the intimate moment alone before joining their bridesmaids and groomsmen for photos. Memories were made as the group paraded around the Mission posing for pictures, then everyone headed back to Serra Plaza for the wedding.

Guests entered the Serra Plaza Courtyard where pastel floral arrangements in pink and yellow decorated the space. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Michelle. In front of their closest friends and family, Michelle and Philip recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Sticky Pork Belly Bites, Curried Mango Chicken Tarts, and Coconut Crusted Shrimp made their rounds for cocktail hour while the bar served up the newlywed’s signature drinks, a Whiskey Sour and Kentucky Mule. Everyone mixed and mingled inside and outside of the Lounge until it was time to head back to the Courtyard for reception.

Tables were topped with ivory candles, figs, grapes, and fresh floral centerpieces. The bride and groom made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Furikake Crusted Salmon, Tri-Tip Carvery, Vermicelli Noodle Salad, Pear and Walnut Salad and Hawaiian Sweet Rolls was served. The dinner menu was selected by Philip and Michelle with help from our event specialist, Brittany. Everyone enjoyed dinner while family and friends shared toasts. After dinner, the couple cut into their wedding cake and invited their guests to indulge in our Taste of Asia Dessert Station with a collection of Yuzu-Mango Tarts, Ube Crinkle Cookies, Pandan Cupcakes, Café Sua da Macarons, and Golden Milk Flan with Chai Whipped Cream ending the evening on a sweet note.
