Evergreen Estate Wedding
With help from her mother, Ivonne slipped into her wedding gown and fastened the many buttons running the length of her back. It was the day she had been waiting for. The day where her and Nik would tie the knot and live happily ever after. Light poured through the Attic windows at The Estate on Second and excited chatter filled the room while Ivonne and her family posed for a few portraits before the ceremony start time. Meanwhile, Nik suited up and knotted his tie in the Suite downstairs, anxiously awaiting the moment he would get to see his bride.
Friends and family arrived through the Veranda doors after signing Ivonne and Nik’s guest book, then took a seat soaking in the Crystal Ballroom’s beauty. White floral arrangements lined both sides of the aisle and continued up a golden arch backdrop. As soon as the clock struck 6, Nik made his entrance. Standing before everyone with his eyes glued to the drapery at the back of the room, Nik took a deep breath, and on the exhale, Ivonne appeared. Huge, warm smiles filled their faces as they locked eyes from across the aisle. Guests stood and watched in awe as the bride and groom were joined at the front of the ballroom, then took a seat. The officiant began with a sweet story of how the couple met and the meaning of marriage which then transitioned into Ivonne and Nik’s vows and ring exchange. In front of all their closest family and friends, the bride and groom were pronounced husband and wife and sealed the deal with a kiss.
Servers floated around the room holding trays filled with Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts, Falafel Bites, Chilled Shrimp Skewers, and Lamb Meatballs for guests to snack on while enjoying cocktail hour beverages. The bar was shaking and pouring the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Paloma and Old Fashioned, along with beer and wine. Everyone mixed and mingled until Ivonne and Nik invited everyone back into the Crystal Ballroom for dinner.
Sparkling chandeliers hung above white linen-draped tables with fresh floral centerpieces bringing the space to life. Guests checked the seating chart, then found their assigned tables just in time for the bride and groom’s grand entrance. Ivonne and Nik shared their first dance as guests watched with loving eyes, then they took a seat at their sweetheart table. Family and friends shared toasts and glasses clinked in the air as each speech ended. Throughout toasts, each table was excused to the buffet to fill their plates with Grilled Greek Chicken Kabobs, Middle Eastern Chicken Kabobs, Basmati Rice, Grilled Marinated Vegetables, Pita Bread, and Greek Salad. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Lauren, during their planning process. After dinner, Nik and Ivonne cut into their white cake with strawberry creme filling and invited everyone to enjoy a slice and some desserts from our All American Dessert Station. Guests filled their plates with S’more Macarons, Gourmet Rice Krispy Treats, Chocolate Ganache Brownies, Individual Strawberry Shortcakes, and Fresh Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies. Energized from dinner and dessert, everyone hit the dance floor. The evening ended with dance battles, photo booth pictures, and plenty of memories to last a lifetime.
