COVID Bride’s Private Backyard Wedding
It was a backyard wedding to remember. Mary had just slipped into her strapless wedding gown with delicate lace covering the bodice and a sparkling belt to match her jewelry and hair accessories while her groom anxiously waited for their ceremony to begin. Ivory chiffon was draped from two tall trees to mark where the bride and groom would say I do and bulb lights hung above guests heads as they entered the backyard and signed Mary and Johnny’s guest book, leaving their marriage advice and best wishes. Everyone took a seat and the bride walked down the aisle arm in arm with her mother while Johnny tried to keep himself from shedding a tear. Both Mary and Johnny wrote and read sweet handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and were pronounced husband and wife. The newlyweds shared a kiss and gleefully walked out of the ceremony as guests cheered them on.
After snacking on Caprese Skewers and Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, everyone found their seats and dinner was served. Chicken Pignoli, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Fresh Vegetable Medley, Mixed Green Salad, and Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano was plentiful and guests raved over the delicious flavors. Toasts were made celebrating the happy couple and lively conversation filled the evening. The bride and groom shared their first dance which then led to family and friends joining in. For dessert, a two-tiered wedding cake was cut and shared before the newlyweds were sent off with sparklers into the night.
