Champagne and Whimsy at Grand Gimeno

Lina and Zach unlocked the suite doors at Grand Gimeno early Sunday morning to get ready with their wedding party. The guys went into the Parlor and the girls went into the Powder Room. Champagne popped and orange juice was mixed into the bubbly beverage for refreshing mimosas while hair and makeup commenced. The girls all wore cozy pajamas while getting ready. The bridesmaids wore white and Lina wore light blue. The atmosphere in both suites was relaxed and fun as the groups finished accessorizing and slipped into their shoes. Lina was now in her puff sleeve wedding dress and Zack was dressed in black and white. The two were ready for their first look. Zach patiently waited with his back towards Lina as she approached him outside. The second he turned around, tears filled both their eyes and a sweet embrace was shared. After the emotional moment, Zach and Lina joked around and were greeted by their cute dog for some photos together. Once the bride and groom pictures were complete, everyone headed to a local church for the ceremony.

Vows were recited and a kiss sealed the deal at the church ceremony, then the newlyweds hopped into their car and headed back to Grand Gimeno to continue the celebration. Upon arrival, the wedding party headed out back to the Olive Grove where group and family photos were taken. Each bridesmaid was dressed in champagne slip dresses and the groomsmen wore black. White the group was posing for photos, guests entered the Foyer and grabbed drinks from the bar. Lina and Zach’s signature cocktails, a Moscow Mule and Italian Margarita, were favorite picks amongst guests. A lounge space complete with sofa, coffee table, and chairs offered a place for guests to sit back and relax while awaiting the reception. The Foyer fireplace was decorated in dried and fresh foliage and cocktail tables were both inside and outside around the Courtyard fountain. Before long, everyone was invited into the Grand Central space for dinner and found their assigned seats via seating chart display.

Some tables were draped in tan velvet and others remained bare exposing their wooden structures. Taupe plates were topped with ivory linen and dinner menus and gold flatware sat on either side. Tall grey candles were lit creating a romantic ambiance and fresh floral centerpieces sprouted up organically adding pops of color to the neutral space. Once everyone was seated, the bridal party made their entrances ending with Lina and Zach. With the head table full, toasts were made and everyone raised their champagne glass, then dinner was served. Our Event Specialist, Casey, helped the bride and groom select their food and beverage during the planning process. Everything went off without a hitch! Lina changed into her second outfit to make table rounds. At each table, guests toasted to the newlyweds and the couple thanked them for coming. Once all the thank yous were done, it was time for the real party. Lina changed into her final outfit, and cut the cake with her groom. The couple hit the photo booth, then the dance floor where friends and family surrounded them. To end the evening, guests lined up outside in the Olive Grove for a cold sparkler send off. Sparks flew as the newlyweds made their exit into the night.
