Burgundy Love Story at The Estate on Second
Max and the guys hung out downstairs at The Estate on Second while Tammie and the girls added the finishing touch to their wedding day looks upstairs. With earrings clipped in, shoes slipped on, and already hair and makeup ready, it was time for the big reveal. Max made his way upstairs and took his mark in front of the Attic windows. With bridesmaids and groomsmen watching, Tammie walked over to her groom and placed her hand on his shoulder. Max turned around and immediately, smiles filled their faces as they locked eyes for the first time that day. Oohs and aahs came from bridesmaids and groomsmen watching nearby who then joined the couple for group photos. Together, the group wore grey and purple, except the groom and bride. Tammie was dressed in a lace gown and Max wore a black tux. Bouquets of plum, lavender, and white flowers held by the bridesmaids tied the color scheme together and just as guests were arriving, the group lined up for ceremony.
Guests took a seat in the Crystal Ballroom facing a crescent shaped ceremony backdrop that was covered in flowers. Once everyone had arrived, the wedding party made their way down the petal lined aisle. In front of family and friends, Tammie and Max read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and shared a kiss. Everyone shood and cheered as the newlyweds made their exit into cocktail hour.
Caprese Skewers with Pesto, Roasted Red Cherry Tomato Bruschetta, and Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons were tray passed while the bar served up the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Pineapple Mojito and Old Fashioned. Guests mixed and mingled and left voice messages over a vintage phone for Tammie and Max to listen to later, a unique guestbook! While everyone enjoyed light bites, the bride and groom fully embraced their newlywed bliss on the Estate’s patio soaking in downtown sights and the sunset. With romantics captured, the couple headed back inside and invited their guests to join them back in the ballroom for dinner.
Tall candlesticks and greenery ran the length of each white linen-draped table and folded burgundy napkins added pops of color. Guests found their assigned seats and awaited the arrival of the bride and groom. The wedding party made their grand entrances first, then Tammie and Max came out to an uproar of cheers. Under sparkling chandeliers, the two shared their first dance, then took a seat at the head table. Chicken Pignoli, Tortellini Corsica, Caesar Salad, Italian Green Beans with Pancetta, and Roasted Broccolini were served at the buffet as toasts began. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Casey, during their planning process. Friends and family shared memories and concluded their speeches with a raised glass. After, a 2-tiered chocolate cake with French buttercream icing was cut and the newlyweds unveiled the All American Dessert Station. An assortment of s’more macarons, gourmet rice krispy treats, chocolate ganache brownies, individual strawberry shortcakes, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were enjoyed as guests made their rounds. The remainder of the evening was filled with dancing, posing for pictures at the photo booth, and a bubble send off.
