Blush and Lace at The Estate on Second

With help from her mother, Mariah buttoned the back of her lace and tulle wedding gown upstairs at The Estate on Second. A few sprigs of greenery and flowers were placed in her half up half down hairdo, then she slipped on her blush pink shoes and waited for her groom, Adam, as he walked up the stairs. Smiles filled both their faces as soon as the bride and groom saw each other for the first time that day. Mariah did a twirl and Adam couldn’t stop showering her with compliments. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen joined them for group photos in the Attic just after the first look. Adam and his groomsmen were dressed in navy suits and light blue ties. The bridesmaids wore different shades of pink and different styles of dresses and each girl held a bouquet of white and light pink flowers. Once all the group photos were taken, the group lined up for the ceremony.

The center Palladian window inside the Crystal Ballroom was decorated in foliage and two floral arrangements marked the beginning of the aisle. A welcome sign ushered guests into the space where sparkling chandeliers hung overhead. As soon as everyone was seated, Adam made his entrance followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen and ending with Mariah. At the head of the aisle, in front of family and friends, the bride and groom exchanged loving vows. Wedding bands were slipped on each other’s fingers, and the officiant pronounces the two husband and wife. The crowd cheered as Mariah and Adam shared a kiss and exited the ceremony.

Beer and wine were pouring and the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Kentucky Mule and Margarita, were being shaken as guests entered cocktail hour. A European & Domestic Cheese Wedge Tray was on display for everyone to snack on until dinner. Meanwhile, Mariah and Adam wandered around outside the venue for golden hour photos and time alone before rejoining the party. Their love was captured from the fountain and through the gates until they met back up with their guests at the end of cocktail hour.

Back inside the Crystal Ballroom, tables were draped in white linen and topped with floral centerpieces and blush napkins. Guests checked the seating chart and took their seats, ready for dinner. The bride and groom entered last and shared their first dance before taking a seat at their sweetheart table where champagne was awaiting them. Friends and family stood and toasted the newlyweds after telling heartfelt stories from the past and well wishes for their future. Glasses clinked, then dinner was served. A classic menu consisting of Santorini Chicken, Jasmine Rice, Fresh Vegetable Medley, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, and Caesar Salad was unveiled at the buffet. Each table was excused one at a time to fill their plates with the delicious offerings hand selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Casey, during the planning process. Once everyone had eaten their fill, they headed to the dance floor. The rest of the night was spent in a dance circle showing off the best moves and showering the bride and groom with lots of love.
