Black and White Wedding Celebration at Forme
Marissa descended the open-air loft steps in a beautiful ballgown-style wedding dress for her first look with Jonathan who was waiting just around the corner for her. Dressed in a classic black suit, Jonathan stood with his back facing Marissa as she drew nearer, the anticipation building with each step. Finally, with a tap of the shoulder, Jonathan turned around to see his stunning bride standing before him, a moment they had been waiting for due to COVID postponing their big celebration. Smiles immediately filled both their faces and sweet compliments filled the air before the two joined their wedding party inside.
Guests arrived in Forme’s courtyard to cocktail hour. Marissa and Jonathan had already been legally married during COVID and now their postponed wedding celebration excluded a ceremony so the couple could spend more time partying with their friends and family. Two screens began playing a video of the bride and groom welcoming their guests and ended with Marissa and Jonathan’s grand entrance. Sparklers went off as the bride and groom made their appearance together. The crowd cheered as Marissa and Jonathan shared a kiss, then made their rounds hugging all their guests. The bar opened up and was serving the bride and groom’s signature cocktails, a Greyhound and Old Fashioned. While everyone was mingling, Thai Chicken Spring Rolls, Roasted Red Cherry Tomato Bruschetta, and Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms were tray passed as a pre-dinner snack. Marissa and Jonathan snuck away briefly for golden hour photos and rejoined their party just in time for the reception.
Tables were draped in grey linen and topped with fresh floral arrangements. Guests found their assigned seat with help from the seating chart and acrylic name cards placed at each table. Custom printed menus topped each plate and matching flatware was placed on each side. Once everyone was seated, Marissa and Jonathan made their grand entrance and danced to their first dance song as sparklers went off again. Next, dinner was served. The first salad course was a choice of Caesar Salad or Mixed Green Salad. Next, a dual entree selection was served to guests and included Zucchini Lime Chicken, Atlantic Salmon Filet, Jasmine Rice, and Roasted Broccolini. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Venue and Catering Sales Manager, Rachel. During dinner, Marissa and Jonathan played a fun game of ‘guess who’ where the bride and groom would hold up the shoe up of who said or did the item read as they sat back to back. This game made for some great dinner time entertainment and had guests cracking up. Once the game ended, everyone flooded the dance floor to show off their moves. A Classic Dessert Station with French Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs and French Apple Tarts opened up some guests took a break from dancing to indulge in the sweets. A photo booth captured unforgettable memories as friends and family gathered in groups to pose in front of the camera. Between the dancing, dessert, and photo booth, the remainder of the evening was filled with fun activities.
