Baroque Style Wedding Reception at Hangar 21 South
After tying the knot off-site, the newlyweds, Christina and Anton, headed straight to the helicopter at Hangar 21 South for their flight while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Christina’s dress blew gently in the wind as her and her now husband walked out onto the tarmac. The two hopped into the helicopter and took off. Meanwhile, back at Hangar 21 South, everyone lined up at the bar that was pouring the couple’s signature cocktails: Melon Mule and Vodka with Lavender Lemonade. Hors d’oeuvres like Curried Mango Chicken Tarts and Sesame Shrimp and Mango Spring Rolls were aplenty and baroque style furniture rentals made up vignettes on the tarmac where guests could lounge around. Tinsel wands were waved as the bride and groom touched down and made their grand entrance onto the dance floor and into their first dance as husband and wife. After the dance, everyone found their seats inside the main hangar. Tables were draped in black linen and mauve napkins were knotted atop cream and gold plates. Dried flowers accented the centers of each table and matched the hanging floral arrangement above the sweetheart table. Loving friends and family toasted to the bride and groom while everyone enjoyed a dinner of Thai Three Flavored BBQ Chicken, Korean Bulgogi Beef, Asian Cucumber, Far East Wok Long Beans, and Flat Noodles with Black Bean Sauce. After dinner, guests enjoyed dancing and striking a pose in the photo booth. The bouquet and garter were tossed and a sparkler exit concluded the celebratory evening.
