A Vintage I Do at The Estate on Second

The Estate was decorated in leafy greens and white roses on the day of Lucas and Mary’s wedding. Green garland lined the aisle way that led to a stunning organically draped ceremony backdrop lit up by one of the Estate’s Palladian windows. Lucas and his groomsmen awaited the bride and her bridesmaids that were getting ready in the bridal suite. Mary’s gown was a beautiful vintage style made of lace with button detailing down the back. Her bridesmaids were looking lovely in different styles of light grey dresses. The groomsmen were dressed in navy pants and white button ups to match their bow ties while the groom was all suited up in a sleek grey tux.

The bride and groom met at the altar where they exchanged vows and performed a unity tree ceremony. The unity tree ceremony symbolizes taking care of a healthy marriage and allowing that marriage to grow. After the ceremony guests were invited to cocktail hour where caprese skewers and fontina cheese, caramelized onion, sun-dried tomato and pancetta flatbread pizza was served. The newlyweds had a canvas set up where guests could add a pant mark, then when the night ended and the paint dried, the couple would hang the painting in memory of their wedding day. Soon after cocktail hour, dinner was served that consisted of chicken parmigiana, cheese tortellini with creamy pesto, caesar salad, grilled marinated vegetables and dinner rolls with butter.

The evening ended on a sweet note with our Italian Dessert Station that offers tiramisu cannolis, cappuccino cream puffs, fruit tarts, chocolate dipped biscotti and mini tiramisu cupcakes. Guests were invited to the dance floor, but if they weren’t keen on dancing, they were able to strike a pose in the photo booth!
