A Quaint Wedding at The Casino

Shelby and Chris met outside The Casino San Clemente for their first look after getting ready off-site at a nearby hotel. Wearing a classic black tuxedo, Chris turned around to see Shelby dressed in a beautiful tulle and lace wedding gown. The two couldn’t stop smiling at one another and showered each other with sweet compliments. The bride and groom wandered around the venue taking pre-ceremony photos while guests arrived and signed the couple’s vinyl record guest book. Just outside in the Rock Garden, pampas, dried palm leaves, and roses decorated the historical fireplace as a ceremony focal point. Guests were greeted with water or lemonade, then found their seat on either side of the aisle. Music began playing and Chris was first to make an entrance, grinning from ear to ear as he made his way over to the officiant. Last but not least, the crowd stood for Shelby as she walked to her groom. The two exchanged handwritten vows and rings before being pronounced husband and wife. With a cheer from their guests, Shelby and Chris sealed the deal with a kiss and paraded out to a get away car for some alone time during cocktail hour.

While the bride and groom were off enjoying time to themselves before rejoining the party, Crab Cakes with mango papaya salsa, Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons with béarnaise sauce and Brioche Box hors d’oeuvres were snacked on by guests. Cocktail tables were topped with rust colored linens and a stylish lounge space was created where guests could rest their feet. Before long, guests were asked to find their seat in the Rock Garden where a plated dinner would be served. A white and rose gold seating chart led guests to their assigned seats and Chris and Shelby made their grand entrance. White linens topped each round table with complimentary white chairs to match. Blue table runners and floral centerpieces added a pop of color and market lighting hung above creating a romantic atmosphere. The salad course came out first: A Grilled Panzanella Salad. Toasts followed while everyone finished their first course. Next, the entree course with Chicken Santorini, Gourmet Mashed Potatoes, and Roasted Broccolini. The tantalizing menu was pre-selected during the planning process by the bride and groom along with our Event Specialist, Brittany, to ensure just the right items. After dinner, Shelby and Chris cut their white wedding cake with raspberry creme filling and whipped cream icing and invited guests to gab dessert from our Tropical Dessert Station including an assortment of Pineapple Upside Down Cakes, Mango & Passion Fruit Macarons, 7-Layer Coconut Bars, Tropical Fruit Tarts, and Banana Passion Fruit Cream Puffs. Once everyone had eaten their fill, they headed outside for the bride and groom’s send off. Silver party streamers were popped and loud cheering could be heard all around as the newlyweds made their exit.
