A Postponed Wedding Worth The Wait

While the florist was adding the finishing touches to the wooden arbor on the side patio at Hangar 21 South, the wedding party was out on the tarmac posing for group photos and having a blast before the ceremony. Bridesmaids dressed in pink and groomsmen in black swarmed Marie and Sam and cheered on the bride and groom as they shared a sweet kiss for the camera before heading back to Hangar 21 to line up for their wedding.

Guests arrived and took their seats on the side patio where a floral covered arbor stood center stage. Pops of pink, green and white added fresh color to the perfectly lined up black chairs. Soft music began playing and the groom, groomsmen, and bridesmaids walked out and found their spots on stage. Last to make an entrance was Marie and her father. As soon as she was in Sam’s vision, he couldn’t hold back his emotions and tears fell down his face. The two stood side by side at the head of the aisle as friends and family watched them exchange vows and rings. Clapping and cheers arose from the crowd as Marie and Sam were pronounced husband and wife. The newlyweds joyfully exited their ceremony and took to the tarmac where they would take flight over Orange County.

Delicious food was served during cocktail hour including Shrimp and Vegetable Spring Rolls with peanut sauce, Chicken Jalapeno Empanadas with cilantro sour cream, and Meatballs with sweet and sour sauce. Drinks were also pouring and many guests tried the newlyweds signature cocktails; a Dark and Stormy and Malibu Bay Breeze. While everyone was sipping and snacking, Marie and Sam were up in the sky soaking in beautiful sights - a memory they won’t soon forget! Upon their landing, everyone was standing on the tarmac cheering them on as they headed over to their party. The bride and groom made their grand entrance into their first dance and guests watched in awe. After, everyone took a seat inside and awaited dinner. Tables were draped in white linen and centerpieces of eucalyptus and roses decorated each tabletop. Toasts were shared and glasses rose to the sky after each memory was shared, then dinner was ready. A Poke Station with Faroe Island Salmon and Ahi, Street Taco Station, Tri Tip Carvery, and Comfort Station with Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano and Tortellini with Creamy Pesto gave guests an array of delectable cuisines to choose from. Having options was important to the bride and groom during their planning process, and our Event Specialist, Brittany, helped them in selecting the perfect menu for their wedding. Guests choose their favorite foods and filled their plates. Once everyone was done with dinner, Sam and Marie cut their cake and shared with guests. Energized from dinner and dessert, everyone found their way to the dance floor and danced the night away under the stars.
