ALEXANDRIA BALLROOMS

The Alexandria Ballrooms have been historic staple in the heart of downtown Los Angeles since 1906. Back in the day, the hotel’s iconic ballrooms hosted a myriad of luxury events for Hollywood stars, presidents, and other social royalties. These spaces became an elegant gathering places for lively, elite crowds and venues for the most prestigious events, including a Charlie Chaplain wedding ceremony. Today, these three grand ballrooms carry on that same celebratory spirit, as they hold a number of events.

One of their venues, the Palm Court Ballroom, is an elegant space with magnificent skylights, arched ceilings, and gorgeous chandeliers. This room can hold up to 300 seated guests and up to 500 for a cocktail style event. In renting the Palm Court Ballroom, hosts will have access to use the Grand Entrance Hall and the Cocktail Room & Vintage Bar along with the use of various tables, chairs, and other amenities.

Upstairs, the King Edward Ballroom is a luxurious, Victorian style space that boasts beautiful architectural details, including stretching ceilings, tall windows that flood the room with natural light, and a glamorous fireplace. Currently, this second story ballroom is being renovation and will be available for booking early 2016.

On the same floor is the Mezz Ballroom, the largest of the three venues. It can accommodate up to 500 guests reception style and 800 for a standing cocktail event. With exposed brick walls, iron beams, grand skylights, and white marble, this loft-style setting is an industrial gem fit for extravagant parties and gatherings. Plus, the surrounding windows provide amazing views of the city and nearby buildings.

The Alexandria Ballrooms offer a variety of environments that are sure to make any event a spectacular success. Whether it’s a corporate party, wedding, social mixer, fundraiser, or even a film shoot, these historic venues are marvelous spaces for entertaining.
