A New Chapter for Jay's
Exciting things are happening at Jay’s. We like to dream big, always looking for new opportunities to grow and expand in the fields we’re passionate about. This past week we were able to enter into a new chapter of our story. Now, you’re all probably wondering what this change is. Well it’s awesome, we can tell you that. When it comes down to it, entertaining is at the heart of what we do. Whether we’re catering a wedding, a corporate party or a small gathering, our mission is to bring people together. And what suits a good meal better than a beautiful setting?
That’s right folks, we’ve decided to open our own venue! This crazy idea had been tumbling around our heads for some time, so we set out to find the perfect location that would compliment Jay’s style and philosophy. This week, our wishes became a reality as we were handed the keys to this magnificent building. The structure is a historical rarity for Orange County, as it still contains the original brick and exposed beams. Instead of spilling everything at once, we’ve decided to share little pieces of information at a time. So here are a few inside glimpses of our new space. We hope you’re as enthusiastic as we are about this adventure. Making this place our own is going to be quite the incredible experience and we couldn’t imagine it without the support of all our wonderful customers. Stay tuned for more details and updates!

Venue Spotlight: The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles
We are ecstatic to announce the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles (NHM) as our newest venue partner! The Natural History Museum, founded in 1913, isn’t just a hallmark on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (although it is!). It is a cultural epicenter that, for over 100 years, has probed our relationship to the natural world and invited the young + old alike to conduct their own inquiries. With 17 exhibits, more than 300 authentic dinosaur fossils, + 6 rotating special exhibits, it’s easy to see why the NHM remains a hub for both the scholarly and the curious tourist. But, you may not have known that the museum is also a premier venue space. The NHM’s Grand Foyer, Times Mirror Room, African Mammal Hall, North American Mammal Hall, and lauded Rotunda are all available to book for your next special event. And—after taking a peek at the famous architecture and exhibits that call these spaces home—it’s hardly necessary to explain why Jay’s is so excited to cater events at the museum. The museum’s event rooms can accommodate between 35-300 guests, which makes it ideally flexible and great for many different kinds of special occasions. The real highlight of choosing the NHM as your venue, however, lies in the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that you + your guests will enjoy. Imagine observing triumphant Savanna Elephants during dinner in the African Mammal Hall. Or, think about how memorable it would be to toast to your special day in the Grand Foyer, surrounded by the museum’s famous, towering T-Rex fossil. At the Natural History Museum, your imagination is truly the only limit that applies to designing your event. It is an historic, glorious, and unique venue—perfect for the adventurous couple! In addition to wedding ceremonies + receptions, the NHM accommodates corporate events, school + non-profit occasions, kids’ birthday parties, and anniversaries + personal celebrations.
