Tim + Samantha, The Casino

The Morrissey’s celebrated their love and tied the knot on June 3, 2016 at The Casino in San Clemente, California! This classic wedding was beautifully put together by wedding planners All in the Detail Design, Jay’s Catering Event Specialist Brittany Klein, Crown Five Entertainment, Hair and Makeup by Hikari Murakami and all beautifully shot by Ty French Photography.

Samantha and Tim (the Bride and Groom) along with their wedding party got ready for their big day on location at The Casino and were in need of a snack to hold them over until the reception! The couple ordered special hors d’oeuvres for each room. The Bride had our delicious Turkey Focaccia Sandwiches, grapes, and Mini Layered Basil Tortes with crackers. The Groom enjoyed our Turkey and Ham Hoagies.

As the guests arrived, they were invited to snap a polaroid and sign the cute guest book for the lovely couple! Then they were seated for the ceremony, which was absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous floral backdrop created by their florist Studio C Florals.

Afterwards, Tim, Samantha and their party took some gorgeous photos at the beach while their guests were welcomed onto the patio for hors d’oeuvres and drinks. We served our famous Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons with bearnaise sauce, Chicken Spring Rolls with peanut sauce, and a huge Cheese Tray of brie, gouda, port wine & sage derby, pepper jack, havarti and mustard seed ale with crackers!

When the Wedding Party returned, they brought the party with them, and the newlyweds got out onto the dance floor for their first dance together as husband and wife! DJ Wayne Thompson provided the entertainment for the rest of the evening.

For the main course, we served our Classic Buffet menu with Santorini Chicken, a grilled chicken breast in lemon sauce with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, capers and fresh basil. We also served Tortellini with Creamy Pesto Sauce, Gourmet Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Marinated Vegetables and Caesar Salad with fresh baked rolls & butter.

To round out this classic style wedding, we served our Classic Dessert Station which is a selection of Traditional French Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs and French Apple Tarts.

The Morrissey’s ended the night with some time honored traditions like cutting the wedding cake and the bouquet and wedding garter toss. Our bakery, Ellie’s Table, created a beautiful three-tiered White Cake with raspberry crème filling and a french buttercream icing topped with gorgeous flowers by Studio C Florals.

Jessica + Ryan, The Casino

Jessica and Ryan Ashton said “I do” on April 2, 2016! Their romantic wedding was perfected by the abundance of gorgeous floral details created by the mother of the groom, Diane Ashton. All in the Detail Design coordinated the fabulous event located at The Casino, in the wonderful beach town of San Clemente!

The lovely ladies of the Bridal party got ready together with the help of Hair and Makeup artist Kelly Scripps. Their exquisite bridesmaid dresses complimented the blushing pink floral decor at this dream of a wedding!

After the Ashton’s ceremony, and while the wedding party took a little detour to take some gorgeous pictures, guests were invited to sample some of our delicious hors d'oeuvres. We served Mini Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Bruschetta Pomodoro.

When the wedding party returned, it was time for our newlyweds’ first dance together as husband and wife. Next was dinner time! For dinner we served our popular Tuscan Buffet, which included Cheese Tortellini with Creamy Pesto Chicken Parmigiana and Roasted Italian Zucchini.

The rest of the evening was fun and light, with party games outside like Jenga and Cornhole, and dancing inside with entertainment by DJ Tim Coy of California DJ’s. We ended the night with some traditional bouquet tossing, and the cutting of the cake. The Ashton’s chose our favorite Marble Cake with Chocolate Bavarian Filling and a French Buttercream Icing. To join the dessert table, we also served up a bunch of cupcakes with four different flavors to choose from: Carrot with Cream Cheese, Marble with Chocolate Bavarian Filling, White with Strawberry Creme, and Chocolate with Vanilla Bavarian Filling.

Jackie + Zach, The Casino

Travel enthusiasts Jackie and Zach Hallstrom tied the knot on June 4, 2016 at The Casino in San Clemente, California! All in the Detail Design coordinated a beautiful wanderlust wedding theme full of maps, globes, travel and adventure. Being next to the beach, these adventurers had a light and airy atmosphere complemented by the groomsmen and bridesmaids wearing grey and turquoise. Studio C Florals prepared lovely and light blushing flowers to complete this perfect celebration.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to cocktail hour where we catered small bites and signature drinks like Moscow Mules and Margaritas. For the hor d'oeuvres, we served mini Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons with Bearnaise Sauce, Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms, and Brie with crackers and crostinis.

After cocktails and the couple’s first dance, guests were shown to their seats by these adorable postcard place cards. The couple chose our popular Chicken Veronique to serve during their feast. It’s a lightly sauteed chicken breast served in a creamy champagne sauce with red and green grapes. To accompany the entree we prepared Au Gratin Potatoes, a Vegetable Medley, Penne a la Checca, Rice and a Mixed Green salad served with freshly baked rolls.

Jay’s also baked up a beautiful wedding cake made of two cake layers— red velvet with cream cheese filling and chocolate with vanilla bavarian filling and covered in a heavenly french buttercream icing. The newly weds also chose to have a cupcake station for their guests to enjoy, which included chocolate, carrot, red velvet and white raspberry cupcakes.

After dinner, guests got to get their photo booth picture souvenir, provided by SoCal Shutterbooth, and dance the night away to California DJ’s fantastic musical entertainment. At the end of the night, family and friends wished Jackie and Zach bon voyage onto their new expedition in life together.

Taste of Jay's at The Casino San Clemente

We’re back with another “Taste of Jay’s!” This time, we held the event at The Casino San Clemente and had a great evening of food, music and fun!

What is “Taste of Jay’s” you might wonder? This is our opportunity to let our guests have the Jay’s Catering experience before their events and see exactly how our food brings people to the table!

The “Taste of Jay’s” experience begins with a Jay’s Event Specialist greeting each guest. The Event Specialist is available as a guide to answer any questions. Upon entering the venue, our guests see that we’ve created an event atmosphere complete with live music!

Of course, the centerpiece of “Taste of Jay’s” is actually getting a taste of all that amazing food! Guests freely sampled the various food stations Jay’s set up starting with the Tuscan Bruschetta Station and our signature Craft Cocktails Station.

Those stations were just the beginning. "Taste of Jay's" is meant to give our guests a real taste of what Jay's Catering has to offer. And with our Poke, Chicken, Carvery, Pasta, Mashed Potato and Mac and Cheese, Taco, Sliders and Flatbread Stations... there was a lot of food to sample! But, enough talking about it… check out the pictures of this amazing food!

Finally, we'd be remiss if we didn't include one of the highlights of any catering event... the Dessert Station! Featuring a variety of macrons, chocolate decadence, tarts and our signature Kougin Amann, this station was the perfect way to end this perfectly delectable evening!

Brittan & Peter's Dreamy Coastal Wedding at The Casino San Clemente

There are few things more beautiful than a bride dressed in white with flowers in hand, ready to meet her groom at the alter. The talented Amanda Christine Photography captured this treasured moment, along with many other stunning sights, on Brittan and Peter’s wedding day at the beachside Casino San Clemente. Everything was simply perfect and styled with a bohemian meets vintage flair. The couple entrusted Amy Beck of All in the Detail Design and our Event Specialist, April Chaim, to carry out the details of this special day. 23 The day began with prepping and primping. Brittan and her gals wore matching floral robes while getting ready for the ceremony. To add an eclectic feel, the bridesmaids wore different styles of dresses tied together with a pastel blue hue, while the maid of honor sported a gold dress to offset the group.5414 As for the lovely bride, Brittan wore a dreamy, off-the-shoulder gown along with a vintage lace trimmed veil. The groomsmen wore grey suits fit with pale blue bowties, while Peter was suited up in charcoal.10711 When it came time for the ceremony, everyone made their way to the Rock Garden to witness the couple’s sweet vows. Posies and Poms created gorgeous bouquets for the wedding party as well as a sweeping, botanical garland that hung on the adobe fireplace’s mantle as a backdrop. 1222 Everyone cheered for the new Mr. and Mrs. as they headed back up the aisle with pure excitement. After the nuptials, Brittan and Peter snuck off to take photos around the area as husband and wife. And yes, we’re swooning over these amazing snaps of the adorable pair. 13 Meanwhile, guests were invited to socialize with a serene view. They enjoy tasty libations and hors d’oeuvres on the Patio of the Stars. For starters, we hosted a station with Cheese Trays, Bruschetta Pomodoro served on a Herb Toasted Sliced Baguette, and Italian Meatballs.188 Then everyone made their way into the Grand Ballroom for the reception. After the wedding party made their exuberant entrance, guests ate dinner before the rest of the festivities ensued. The tables were decorated with rich floral centerpieces, gold accents, and adorable type table numbers.9 For the main course, we served up a buffet of delicious eats with Grilled Marinated Vegetables, Caesar Salad, and a lovely Italian inspired spread. The swooning newlyweds sat at their own sweetheart table draped in a fun ruffled tablecloth. 161917 Soon after dinner, the evening held warm toasts, wild dancing, the cutting of the cake, and many other reception traditions.The couple chose our delectable Marble Cake with Vanilla Bavarian Filling and Buttercream Icing for dessert with a gold Mr. & Mrs. on top. 20 Congratulations to Brittan and Peter! Connor + Colby, The Casino San Clemente

With the heat waves of summer, there’s nothing better than a wedding right near the beach. Thankfully The Casino San Clemente is located right next to the shore and was the perfect spot for Connor + Colby’s special day. Placed in the helpful hands of our Event Specialist, April Chaim, and their amazing wedding planner, Arielle Azoff of LVL, the two lovebirds were beaming with pure joy knowing that this day marks the official start of their life together. 23456 Getting ready for the ceremony, Colby celebrated with her bridal party by sharing in a toast and some colorful macrons. After Connor + Colby were both dressed in their tux and gown, each of them took a private pause to read a letter that they had prepared for each other.
789 The ceremony took place outside in the Rock Garden with perfect weather overhead, making the day even more magical. The entire scene had a classic appeal to it as all of the wedding party wore black and white. Soft pinks and greenery were worked into flower accents to give some colorful pops to the romantic atmosphere. Once Connor + Colby exchanged their vows and shared their first kiss as man and wife, everyone was filled with excitement as the next part of the celebration ensued. 10 Cocktail hour was hosted on the lovely Patio of the Stars. Family and friends mingled and enjoyed Jay’s tray passed hors d’oeuvres including our Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellington with Bearnaise Sauce and Fig, Goat Cheese & Mascarpone Tarts. 11 A bar station was set up for serving various cocktails and the couple’s two Signature Drinks: The Blushing Bride made with Cranberry Juice, Peach Schnapps, and Vodka, and The Grinning Groom concocted with Orange Juice, Peach Schnapps, and Spiced Rum. 1314 For the reception, all of the guests migrated into the Grand Ballroom. With a high arching ceiling and a large dance floor, it was a setting ready for a night of fun and dancing. 15 Jay’s served up an array of delicious dishes to treat the appetites of each guest. The main courses included Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Quinoa Ratatouille stuffed Portobello Mushroom with Roasted Pepper Coulis, Zucchini Lime Chicken, and Filet of Beef. 1617 Since there is always room for dessert, Jay’s also crafted sweet treats for guests to enjoy. The delicately ruffled wedding cake was made with a Red Velvet Cake topped Cream Cheese and Buttercream Icing. Accompanying the main cake was a selection of Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese filling and Buttercream Icing as well as Marble Cupcakes with Chocolate Bavarian filling and Buttercream Icing. Every sweet tooth was accounted for after this spread of cake-filled goodness.1819 By the end of the night, everyone had experienced their fill of food and fun.
