Despite the sunny weather, October has arrived! And even though it’s still blazing hot out here in Southern California, we still love the promise of fall and can’t wait to celebrate this festive season with all of you. So naturally, we thought it was about time we announced that our Holiday Menus are here! At Jay’s, we know this time looks a little different for everyone. Some gather with extended family for every major event, and others enjoy these special days with friends in a more low-kew setting. We want to help you make the most of this season, and do what we can to ensure that your get togethers are ones to remember. There’s no greater feeling than partaking in holiday traditions with the ones you love. Forget spending days prepping for that one meal. Let us do the cooking, so you can be present and enjoy the people who matter most. Plus, we think our tasty food will be a hit among your guests. Everything on our menu is made in-house from scratch, with the best possible ingredients. From our kitchen to yours, we want all of your Jay’s prepared dishes to taste homemade and simply delicious. This year, we’ve created a menu that includes many Jay’s & Ellie’s Table staples as well as some fun, new additions. From Jay’s Famous Brunch Breads and Garlic & Herb Roasted Tri-Tip to our Lavish Thanksgiving Feast, we have fitting items for any and every spirited occasion. Of course, we can’t begin to think about holiday parties without dreaming of sweets and drinks. Our scrumptious dessert options include our signature pastry Crème Brûlée Kouign Amann, Pumpkin Pie Cake, Cream Filled Ginger Snap and more. And don’t forget about our Cider and Hot Chocolate Stations to keep you warm when the weather gets a bit chillier.

Spice Up Your Next Event: Our Indian Menu is Here!
At Jay’s, we’re always excited to experiment and try our hand at new flavors in the kitchen. We love creating menus that are inspired by spirited cultures around the globe. Recently, we decided to tackle our Indian Menu. Though we’ve had some Indian options in the past, we really wanted to amp up our selection to highlight our favorite dishes.
With so many rich flavors and spices, Indian cuisine is a blast to cook and, of course, to eat. In our menu, we’ve included very traditional items, like Chicken Tikka Masala, Spiced Basmati Rice, Vegetable Samosa, and Naan, while mixing in our unique Jay’s spin as well.

As much as we love the event culture that Jay’s is immersed in, once and a while, we need to take the time to focus on the heart of what we do as a catering company: food. Our menus are extensive, ranging in numerous forms of cuisine and styles. With that said, no matter the quantity of recipes we can offer, our priority will always be to present our customers with quality fare that’s tailored to their needs.
Quality can take many forms. Sometimes it means simply executing a traditional dish perfectly with the best ingredients. Other times, it’s about taking creative liberty and adding an unexpected spin on an otherwise expected item. At Jay’s, we value innovation and high integrity cooking. Our culinary team's approach in the kitchen is to first take advantage of all the amazing produce California has to offer. Then comes the protein, in all its glorious forms.

Whole Roasted Chicken: Herb Butter glazed Poulet Rot with free range chicken from Mary’s Chicken farm and a natural au jus.
Shrimp: Fried Pacific White Gulf Shrimp to peal & eat.
Chicken Legs: Herb rubbed chicken legs seared, oven roasted, and served with a natural au jus butter.
Ground Chicken Pancakes: Organic Zucchini from Windrose farms in Paso Robles, CA prepared into sausage pancakes with ground seasoned leg meat chicken from Mary’s farms.
Pork Belly: Kurobuta all natural pork belly. Natural herb seared and oven roasted.
Tri Tip of Beef: Certified Angus Chimichurri Beef that's trimmed, sprinkled with sea salt, roasted, and then topped with a chimichurri compote of fresh Italian parsley, cilantro, roasted garlic and spicy Argentinean chile.

Ellie's New Specialty Dessert: Kouign-amann!
This past year has been quite the exciting journey for our café, Ellie's Table. As we’ve settled into San Clemente’s tight-knit community, we’ve created a wonderful bond with our loyal customers. On October 17th we will be celebrating Eleanor's birthday. As many of you know, Ellie’s Table opened in homage to the owner’s grandmother, Eleanor Mastroianni, and her culinary talents. Our intention from the beginning has always been to maintain Ellie’s imaginative approach and aesthetic in all that we do. That essence, best put by our slogan: “Happiness is Homemade,” is why we value our customers and their input so much. Our story was built on family and we want to celebrate that as we continue to grow.
One of our customers has been asking us to add a special dessert called Kouign-amann to our menu for quite some time now. We thought Ellie's birthday would be the perfect day to add our version of this Breton cake to our menu. Kouign-amann is a crusty, layered cake containing folds of bread dough, butter and sugar inside. As the cake bakes, the layers puff up and the sugar caramelizes. For our interpretation of this tasty sweet, we decided to add a crème brulee filling. We assure you, this is a treat you are going to want to taste. So drop by on October 17th to try this new menu item or order a batch for your upcoming holiday party. We can’t thank you all enough for supporting Ellie’s Table and making it your neighborhood café. It has been an incredible adventure, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead. We want to also express our gratitude for suggesting this delicious dessert, we can’t wait to share our version with you all!

Our 4th of July Menu
Independence Day is quickly approaching, and we have some adorable (and delicious) patriotic sweets that will dazzle friends + family at your 4th of July celebration! Not to mention, if you are rooting for Team U.S.A in the World Cup like we are, these treats are a fun way to show your team spirit (and hopefully celebrate a World Cup win for America). Our creative pastry chefs have designed special Independence Day sugar cookies in the shapes of: our country, flags, hearts, stars, sandals, and cupcakes. Of course, they are all decorated with red, white, and blue icing! Don’t forget our yummy cupcakes, either! Made with white cake—and designed with a red, white, and blue colored icing scheme, as well—they are sure to tickle your guests’ fancy.
